Theme Parks and Thrill Rides

June 22 - 26
Learn about force and motion as you design and build an amusement park with your friends! Discover how some of your favorite theme park rides use simple machines and build your own ride. Play push and pull bumper cars and take a wild ride on the Cosmic Coaster motion simulator. See if you are the "strongest person" and test your skill at other carnival games. Watch machines make snow cones and cotton candy and perform a taste test. Examine the science behind thrill-seeking and risk-taking with the hands-on exhibit, RISK! Register Online!

 


Little Robots

Are you ready for robots? Meet some extraordinary robots that do some amazing things when you take a hands-on look at the science of robotics. Explore the parts of a robot and how they function. DIY! Do it Yourself - Beginners

July 13 - 17
Grab your tool belt and tackle some beginner building projects! Learn about simple machines and participate in a relay over the Simple Machines Obstacle Course. Build your own lifting machine and see how much weight you can lift. Create a candy car and race against your friends. Construct a wind winch and use your breath to make it work. Astronaut Adventure: 3-2-1 Blast Off!*
July 20 - 24
Celebrate the 40th Anniversary of Apollo XI and the first man on the moon! Create a model of the Saturn V rocket that blasted the first Apollo astronauts into space! Launch paper and balloon rockets, build your own rocket racer, and participate in rocket relays. Make an edible Space Shuttle and participate in astronaut training activities. Registration policy:
Space is limited and is available on a first-come, first paid basis.
Payment must be made at the time of registration.

If you must cancel or change a registration and wish to receive a refund, you may do so up to seven days before the start of the camp for a processing fee of $20.

Cancellations made less than seven days from the start of camp will be charged a $30 processing fee.

Refunds are not available after a camp session has begun.
