Purpose:
Recognize a local educator for success in promoting
greater student interest in science or mathematics.
Guidelines:
Open to any middle or high school, public or private, science or mathematics
teacher
on the lower Peninsula (Hampton, Newport News, York County, Poquoson)
• Winner will receive a check
for $1000 and a one-year AFA membership (includes subscription to Air Force Magazine).
• Winner will also compete for AFA State-level recognition.
• Winner will receive a one year membership to the Virginia Air & Space
Center.
• Winner will receive an engraved star permanently displayed
at the Virginia Air & Space Center.
• Winner will receive recognition on a slide in the Virginia
Air & Space
Center's IMAX Theater.
• Four runners-up will each receive a one-year AFA membership and four
exhibit/IMAX
passes to the Virginia Air & Space Center.
