Giants & Dragons
June 21 - 25
Discover the mysteries of our giant planet and launch a giant rocket. Learn
about Hercules and Draco the Dragon Star Constellation as you make a Star-Scope.
Listen to stories of giants and dragons in folklore and mythology, fly a dragon
kite, and create Zack’s Alligators out of super-absorbent polymers. Make
dragon puppets, grow Jack’s Beanstalks, and whip up some of Shrek’s
swamp-muck pudding. Come dressed as your favorite giant, dragon or Shrek fairy-tale
character and experience Shrek Forever

Grab Bag
June 28 – July 2
Reach into the grab bag and see what science surprises you can experience!
Investigate a new science topic each day. Preserve a water drop and learn all
about weather. Make ice cream in a bag as you experiment with food. View constellations
through your own pinhole planetarium. Find out where you are in the food chain
and learn about strange animals. Use play dough to see how the plates of the
Earth move.

Tap
into your imagination to create crafty construction
projects using simple and complex machines. Build a
bridge with Popsicle sticks, create a catapult, and
participate in an egg drop contest. Learn about force
and motion as you design and build an amusement park
with your friends! Discover how some of your favorite
theme park rides use simple machines and build your
own ride. Watch machines make snow cones and cotton
candy and perform a taste test. Explore the science

July 12 – 16
This hands-on adventure will have you going buggy! Take a trip through the
bug’s eye view maze. Observe how a snail leaves a slimy trail. Make your
own bug and race it with your friends. Mix ingredients to make your own bug
blood. See how some “gross” bugs are good for the Earth when you
explore some disgusting science in the new exhibit Animal

Whodunit?: Junior Dectectives
July 19 -23
Put your nose to the ground and earn your Junior Detective certificate after
solving a number of mysteries, including the Case of the Missing Mars Rover.
Conduct investigations when you explore and photograph mock crime scenes, interview
witnesses, and tail suspects. Learn techniques to collect, process, and analyze
fingerprints, shoe prints, and trace evidence. Whodunit? You decide! Register

Stomp, blow, fizz and explode your own rockets into space. Learn the mysteries
of flight and make your best paper airplane to fly. Experience astronaut training

Puppet Show!
August 2 – 6
Use
your imagination to create fun stories and transform
them into puppet shows! Who made the first puppets?
Travel around the world to learn about puppets like
the Bunraku from Japan, rod puppets from Italy, and
shadow puppets from China and India. Investigate famous
puppets and puppeteers. Make a variety of your own
special puppets. Design and build a puppet theatre.
Develop and put on a puppet play with your team members.

to construct a robotic arm to help you with a simulated
space mission and play the “Docking in Space” game.

direct, shoot, edit, and select music for your claymation

of Aerospace Engineering! Explore the history of rockets

task. Talk with NASA engineers and see how they design
robots, then check out some real robots. Discover the
design secrets of rockets and payloads and then put your

July 5 – 9
Become an animation specialist! Explore
the history of animation, including the early days of
the “magic
lantern,” the eerie “Phantasmagoria” shows,
and stop-motion clay animation. Get an in-depth view of
art techniques, such as linear perspective, form, sequencing
of images, composition, and use of color. Work in a team
to create your own animations. Brainstorm new ideas, write
dynamic stories, create a storyboard, build sets, make
props, and create characters from clay. Use animation

and Simulation (MODSIM) and learn a variety of technologies.

data, create maps, and learn from NASA engineers and scientists
about how NASA is using technology to study the Earth

Space is limited and is available
on a first-come, first paid basis.

If you must cancel or change a registration and wish to receive a refund,
you may do so up to seven days before the start of the camp for a processing
fee of $20.
Cancellations made less than seven
days from the start of camp will be charged
a $30 processing fee.
